A balanced nutrition means taking a balanced diet that contains the right selection of foods with appropriate portion to provide adequate nutrients and energy for optimal growth and development. A well-balanced diet contains Nutrition labels such as calories, minerals, vitamins and proteins with adequate amounts of fat and oils which strength the immune system, provide the growth of the body tissues and healthy body weight required for daily activities. Whether you are an adult or a student, balanced diet and regular exercise is very important to maintain health and a sensible body weight.

•    Choose water, plain tea or clear soup instead of canned soup or soft drink when thirsty.
•    Apart from taking sufficient fluid every day, the essentials of a Healthy Diet are to eat according to the "Food Pyramid".
•    You should set a regular eating time and have meals in three proportions (breakfast, lunch and dinner) every day.
•    You should choose only fresh vegetables, fruits, meat and foods with high fiber such as whole wheat grains and cereals.
•    One should pay attention to food hygiene and wash hands before preparing food or having meals.

There is a plethora of diet plans available online but one should remain careful as every individual is different and requires specialized attention when it comes to good health. Your diet plan should be according to the activity level, age and gender.
Prefer breakfast containing a fruit (apple or banana), oats, daliya, corn flakes or wheat flakes while lunch including rice, chapattis, curd pulses and salad that provide roughage to the meal. Moreover, you should also take small and frequent meals in addition throughout the day and refer Nutrition data.
