Editing is a fun and interesting activity for several thousand people all over the world. Being an editor involves working as part of a team to list URLs in the directory, organize sites into a logical category structure, and ensure that listings conform to a set of community editing guidelines. Before you apply, please read over the following tips and advice.

Roles And Responsibilies

  • As an editor you have the following key roles:

    1. You are expected to choose a category of your expertise as an editorial ground.
    2. You will then have to upload five presentations of the same category.
    3. Once you upload three presentations you will be awarded the title of sub-editor with Slideworld.
    4. Your presentations will be given a time span of 45 days during which it will have to generate at least 1000 views. As soon as any one of your presentations reach a download/ view limit of 1000, you will be awarded a certificate of excellence from Slideworld, mentioning your outstanding endeavor and exceptional intellect.
    5. Once you join our team of associate editors you gain authentic access to our editor’s pick page wherein you will be allowed certain privileges over the others.
    6. As an editor you can upload your biography,display your profile and also display your home page or Blog URL with your presentations.
    7. You can recommend any presentation; you think is the best for our featured page.
    8. The section Top Presentation of the Week is entirely controlled by our associate editors. Your recommendations would decide which presentation qualifies to be in that throne.
    9. We have a hierarchy for associate editors. The Entry level being Sub Editor; subsequently as per the seniority you move up as Editor and Senior Editor depending upon the performance of your presentations in terms of views/downloads.

Filling Out the Application Form

  • Your application should be complete.
    1. Click on the Proceed button which will take you to the log in page. You will have to log in to access the editor’s form.
    2. Now you will see the editor’s application form page; the first drop-down asking you to choose the category of your expertise. Please select one category in which you are comfortable.
    3. Select your country.
    4. We would like to know if you have prior experience as an editor. If yes, please specify the link of the website where you have done some editorial tasks. (If no, we would be more than happy to be your first stepping stone.)
    5. Let us know what interests you in the category you have chosen.
    6. Are you associated with any websites? Please share with us.
    7. Any in-hand experience in healthcare or medicine? Do let us know.
    8. Now something which would please us the most- Some lines about you.
    9. Click the Submit button. And you are done!

Application Review

  • Your application will be reviewed by one or more senior Slideworld editors, who will evaluate it on the basis of the answers you provide. Since no two applications are the same, there is no magic formula for an acceptable application. Each application is treated uniquely. We make every effort to accept people who will add value to the directory and the community, however, we don't accept all applications. You may reapply if your application is denied.
