: Stations of the Cross Holy Week – Wednesday
: In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.Amen.
: Hymn
: First Station:Jesus is condemned to death
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, Pilate did not want to have anything to do with you. Give us the courage to stand up for people who have nobody to stand up for them. Amen.
: Second Station:Jesus takes up his cross
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, we know that you felt pain and discomfort at his moment of time. We ask you to help us with the burdens we have to carry. Amen.
: Third Station:Jesus falls for the first time
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, at this moment in your life there was nobody to care for you. Many people live in our world without care and protection: the starving, the homeless and so many other people in need. Be with them Lord in their times of trials and help us to do what we can to support them. Amen.
: Fourth Station:Jesus meets his mother
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, your mother loved you more than anybody else in the world. Be close to all our mothers. We remember especially all those mothers who have lost a child. Amen.
: Fifth Station:Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus to carry his cross
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, help us to be another Simon of Cyrene. There are so many people who suffer and need our help. Each day we have a chance to show somebody love and care. Help us to never miss these opportunities Amen.
: Sixth Station:Veronica wipes the face of Jesus
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, you told your disciples that they would see you especially in the sick and suffering. We ask you to help us see your face in the faces of those who suffer. Like Veronica may we show great love and compassion to all whom we meet. Amen.
: Seventh Station:Jesus falls for the second time
: Reflective Prayer Sometimes it is difficult Lord for us to carry on and complete things. We often want to give up, especially if we have had to struggle to do something that we know is right. It seems easier for us to take the easy option. As we think of your painful struggle, we ask you to be with us when we struggle to do what is right. Amen.
: Eighth Station:The women of Jerusalem weep for Jesus
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, be with all those who mourn and are saddened because somebody they love has died. Amen.
: Ninth Station:Jesus falls for the third time
: Reflective Prayer We ask you Lord Jesus to remain with all those who are in great pain, especially those who are close to death. Amen.
: Tenth Station:Jesus is stripped of his garments
: Reflective Prayer Today, people still do cruel things that hurt other people. What can we do to make sure that we are not cruel to others? Lord in your mercy, Hear our Prayer.
: Eleventh Station:Jesus is nailed to the cross
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, even when you were in such pain on the cross, people still did terrible things to you. Some laughed from a distance and others stood and watched. May I do all I can to bring joy and not pain to others. If I ever have to suffer in my life, please be with me and lift me up with your strength. Amen.
: Twelfth Station:Jesus dies on the cross
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, forgive the wrong I have done, the pain I have caused by my failure to love. Lord have mercy.
: Thirteenth Station:Jesus is taken down from the cross
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, we remember all those who have carried the cross in this life and now rest in your peace. Bring them to everlasting life. Amen.
: Fourteenth Station:Jesus is placed in the tomb
: Reflective Prayer Lord Jesus, we thank you for your suffering and death. You offered your life back to the Father for us all. Teach us to thank you for all that you have done and to walk in your footsteps, even in the difficult moments of life. Amen.
:
: Fifteenth Station:Jesus is risen from the dead
: Reflective Prayer Father, thank you for raising Jesus to life. His resurrection is also our hope of everlasting life. Help us to meet Jesus, especially in the Eucharist and may we always be aware of his saving presence in out lives. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
:
: Walk with Me
: Lord God, our light and our salvation, we praise you for your gifts of life and faith. We thank you for the desire that you have planted in our hearts, our yearning to see your face. Help us to meet you in prayer, to walk in your ways, and to speak to others of our joy and consolation in your presence. Walk with Me Prayer
